Legislator Losquadro to Participate in Drug Awareness Program

Mount Sinai, NY- Suffolk County Legislator and Minority Leader Daniel P. Losquadro (R- Shoreham) will join the Mt. Sinai School District and community members for an informative and educational presentation that focuses on the issue of drug abuse.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, October 22nd at 7:30pm in the Mount Sinai High School Auditorium. On hand to talk about the dangers of drug abuse will be Dr. Stephen Dewey, a Research Investigator in the Center for Neurosciences at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research at North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Dewey will clarify some of the common misconceptions people have come to believe about drugs and drug abuse. He will also specifically address the heroin epidemic on Long Island.

“I want to encourage parents to attend this informative presentation, as we all continue to cope with the rising heroin problems in our communities,” said Legislator Losquadro.
